Mentoring the Lufthansa cohort in UX and Design Thinking

As part of Lufthansa’s 2020 innovation initiative, set to digitize the company by 2020, the group is offering its workforce access to training in digital disciplines. This includes UX. In collaboration with education partner CareerFoundry I’ve been mentoring the 2017-2018 cohort of Lufthansa students in understanding and applying design thinking and product development processes in in their work environments. This includes staff from all areas of the company, from a gate agent to senior leaders in various departments, all eager to become instrumental leaders in Lufthansa’s digital transformation.

Design Thinking Workshop

Digital Career Institute offers a training program targeted at refugees interested learning web development and having access to better job opportunities in the tech sector. Participants learn coding, but are also exposed to a variety of disciplines and methodologies used in startups and tech companies. I had the privilege of introducing students to the human-centered approach that is an important part of product development.
